A 53-year old Male with Chronic Immune Thrombocytopenia was treated with intermittent Prednisolone . He was switched to Dapsone at conventional doses (after excluding G6PD deficiency), but developed a severe skin rash within 25 days. On evaluation found to have DRESS (Drug reaction with eosinophilia and systemic symptoms) Syndrome as per RegiSCAR Criteria (Fever, eosinophilia with atypical lymphocytosis, severe skin rash involving>50% BSA, Negative blood cultures/ ANA/ viral serology). He responded to Dapsone withdrawl and oral/ topical steroids.
