A 71-year-old female who presented with a persistent, painless mass of the left parotid gland. The patient is not a smoker. CT revealed a solid and cystic mass in the parotid tail, 3 cm in greatest dimension. The cytology from an ultrasound guided biopsy was negative for malignant cells. Due to persistence of the lesion, an excision was performed. Low-power view shows follicles with mantle zones with an "onion skin" pattern.
