Refractory anemia with ringed sideroblasts (RARS). Bone marrow biopsy specimen (H & E stain). The bone marrow biopsy is mildly hypercellular (left panel), and shows erythroid proliferation (right panel). Megakaryocytes are present in normal number, and have normal morphology.
