The large cell population is more evident at higher magnification. Many of the cells have a large central nucleolus typical of immunoblasts but centroblast-like cells with one or more nucleoli adhering to the nuclear membrane are also present. Small mature appearing lymphocytes with dark nuclei and histiocytes are abundant.
