The histologic features of the infiltrate are best seen in this view. The cells have abundant pale cytoplasm, and the nuclei are round with occasional cells showing irregular borders. Several of the cells have more than one nuclei. Occasional eosinophils are noted, and there appears to be fibrous bands separating the cells. These cells stained positive for tryptase and toluidine blue consistent with being masts cells.
