in this case you can see many stomatocytes in patients peripheral blood. stomatocyte is a shape of red blood cell in which a mouthlike or slitlike pattern replaces the normal central zone of pallor. Stomatocytosis can happen due to congenital or acquired conditions such as hemolytic anemias.
