Bone marrow smear from a patient with Multiple Myeloma showing the presence of plasma cells with flame cell morphology (May-Grünwald-Giemsa stain).

Flame cells are plasma cells with a pinkish hue on the outer edge of the cytoplasm. This appearance results from immunoglobulin precipitates. These cells can be found in multiple myeloma, as well as in cases of infection or chronic inflammation.
