Warthin-Finkeldey type giant cells in lymphoma

Giant cells with features of Warthin-Finkeldey giant cells (seen in Measles infection) are scattered within nodal marginal zone lymphoma tissue. Such cells were described in the early 1990s with a reactive as well as neoplastic lymphoid tissue (including Hodgkin lymphoma as well as other low-grade B-cell lymphomas). Later these cells were shown to be T-cells.
