A smear of fluid aspirated from a knee joint in a 6-year-old child who presented with fever and joint swelling involving multiple extremities. There is a pleomorphic infiltrate consisting of lymphocytes, neutrophils, eosinophils, plasma cells, and macrophages. Several of the neutrophils show large amorphous cytoplasmic inclusions.
