A higher-magnified view of a follicle and the surrounding interfolliclular area is shown. The germinal center contains multiple macrophages containing debris. The mantle zone of the follicle is infiltrated with pale appearing epitheliod cells characteristic of Toxoplasma gondii infection. The same epitheliod cells are readily noted on the interfollicular area.
