On intermediate power, the primitive-looking tumor cells are large and seen against the eosinophilic fibrillary background material known as neuropil, which is an evidence of neural differentiation. Characteristic homer-wright rosettes are often seen in neuroblastomas (with predominant neuroblastic small cell component) are not seen in this case.
