A man with Ph+ B-ALL was treated to morphological remission with low level of MRD positivity. Unfortunately 80% blasts were found in routine lumbar puncture CSF specimen. Flow cytometry identified CD34-CD19+CD10+CD38+CD22+ B-lymphoblasts. Repeat bone marrow aspirate and trephine showed no morphological or flow cytometric evidence of leukaemia, and MRD remained at low level positivity.
