Auer rods in neutrophils are described in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) t(8;21), acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL), AML with maturation, and mixed lineage leukemia. It may also be seen in APL cases following treatment with all-trans retinoic acid (ATRA).
