The reactive lymphocyte on the left contains azurophilic granules in its cytoplasm consistent with a CD8 cytotoxic T cell or an NK cell. The cytoplasmic of the reactive lymphocyte on the right has is intensely basophilic border. Azurophilic granules are not as apparent.
