Marked megaloblastic changes seen in all stages of erythroid maturation: nuclear-cytoplasmic dysynchrony, open nuclear chromatin, and nuclear budding. Overall there is a decreased M:E ratio (myeloid to erythroid) secondary to a marked erythroid hyperplasia. 40X
