A 50-year-old lady underwent a bone marrow examination to prove recurrence of her breast cancer. (No other tissue was available for Her-2 examination.) A bone marrow aspirate, MGG stain, showing syncytia of breast carcinoma cells with variable nuclear:cytoplasmic ratio with open chromatin and indistinct nucleoli.
