Clumps of hematopoietic cells may be mistaken for coalesced collections of extrinsic cells. Here however, the individual elements can be recognized as cells of various hematopoietic lineages. In the case shown, the megakaryocytes are the most prominent. Closer inspection of the other smaller cells in the cluster reveal erythroid and myeloid elements.
