Scattered large highly atypical large lymphoid cells with convoluted nuclear contours and vacuolated basophilic cytoplasm are seen admixed with normal hematopoietic cells in this marrow of a 45 year old man of Nigerian origin.

The cellular cytomorphology is in keeping with the diagnosis of adult T-cell leukemia/lymphoma. The tumor cells were positive for CD3, CD4, CD25 with prominent peripheral blood involvement and hypercalcemia.
