Leukemic promyelocyte in the peripheral blood demonstrating multiple clusters of Auer rods in the cytoplasm. Such leukemic promyelocytes are often referred to as "Faggot" cells. The word Faggot was used in archaic English to refer to a bundle of any unit and mostly commonly wood sticks.
