This bone marrow aspirate smear, treated with a myeloperoxidase stain, comes from a patient with acute undifferentiated leukemia. A mature neutrophil (arrow) is brightly positive, while blasts and rare erythroid precursors (top right) that comprise the majority of cells are negative.
