This karyotype illustrates the t(9;22) resulting in the BCR-ABL1 fusion gene. The t(9;22) can also be appreciated with fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) with DNA probes specific to BCR and ABL1. In addition to t(9;22) the karyotype also illustrates the t(3;3) resulting in the juxtaposition of the RPN1 and EVI1 genes.
