1. A 25 year old male patient from eastern India had paroxysms of sporadic febrile illness with chills and rigor.

2. His peripheral blood smear (PBS) showed presence of trophozoites of Plasmodium Vivax

3. There was an incidental finding of a microfilaria as well in his PBS.

4. Concomitant parasitism of malaria with filaria is a rarity in India.
