This karyotype illustrates the t(8;14) which results in the juxtaposition of MYC next to the IGH enhancer element on the der(14) chromsome. The t(8;14) can also be appreciated with fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) with DNA probes specific to MYC, the centromere of chromosome 8 (CEP8), and IGH.
