The blood film of a patient with T cell prolymphocytic leukemia (T-PLL) showing marked lymphocytosis. Medium sized prolymphocytes with basophilic cytoplasm and single nucleolus, some cells with cytoplasmic blebs. Blood count was Hb 55 g/L, WCC 467.6 x10^9/L (neutrophil 28 x 10^9/L lymphocyte 411 x 10^9/L), Platelet 16 x 10^9/L.  Flow cytometry shows 99% of T cells. They are CD3+CD2+CD5+CD7+CD4+CD8-CD10-CD25-CD16-CD56-CD57-.

Lymphocyte count is usually >100x10^9/L in the T-PLL patients and >200x10^9/L in half of the patients.
