Blood smear of a patient after chemotherapy for acute myeloid leukemia showing large irregular cytoplasmic inclusions in the white blood cell, so-called pseudo Chediak-Higashi anomaly (May-Grünwald-Giemsa stained).

Pseudo-Chediak-Higashi granules are giant cytoplasmic inclusions in myeloblasts or myeloid precursors, resembling those seen in the inherited Chediak-Higashi syndrome. They are commonly described in acute myeloid leukemia but have also been seen in chronic myeloid leukemia and myelodysplastic syndromes and a few other conditions.
