H&E-stained sections show lymph node with effaced nodal architecture by back-to-back follicles with attenuated mantle zones, loss of normal polarization, and lack of tingible body macrophage. These follicles are composed predominantly of small to medium sized centrocytes with irregular/cleaved nuclei, inconspicuous nucleoli (gray arrow) and rare large centroblasts with round nuclei, vesicular chromatin and distinct nucleoli (black arrow). By immunohistochemistry, the neoplastic cells express CD10, Bcl-6 and Bcl-2. Ki-67 proliferation index is low.
