Harlequin cells are dysplastic eosinophils and eosinophilic precursors with metachromatic, basophilic and orange granules. These granules are seen in eosinophilic myelocytes (right) or in a mature dysplastic eosinophils (left), x1000, May-Grunwald Giemsa stain.
