Since the patient also had bicytopenia (Anemia and mild leucopenia) a Bone marrow aspirate and bone marrow biopsy was done. BMA was hemodiluted. But the bone marrow biopsy showed Langerhans cell in a inflammatory background comprising of plasma cells and eosinophils. 

Since the patient had skin rash, multiple lytic bone lesions with sclerosed margins and bone marrow biopsy demonstrating langerhans cells, a diagnosis of Multi-system Langerhans cell histiocytosis was made.
