peripheral blood smear with spherocytic view

Here we present a spherocytic case. Patient was a three years old boy with low red blood cell count (2.62/μl), low hemoglobin (7.9 g/dL), low hematocrit (24.8%) and normal RBC indices (MCV= 94.7 fL, MCH= 30.2 pg and MCHC= 31.9 g/dL). Examination of peripheral blood smear confirmed anisocytosis (RDW-CV= 25%). Platelet count and white blood cell count were normal.
