This is a 78 year old female with new IgG lambda paraproteinemia.  The bone marrow aspiration and biopsy showed lambda restricted plasma cell neoplasm with amyloid deposition in bone marrow blood vessels. Stain for congo red was positive. The vessels were also birefreingent under polarized light.
