71 year old male diagnosed  as polycyathemia rubra vera with JAK2 EXON 12 mutation  with low erythropoietin levels of 3.2 (4.3-29).patient was on treatment with hydroxyurea .

Bone marrow aspirate and  biopsy was done in view of lowering hemoglobin levels in our hospital . Bone marrow aspirate was a dry tap and was was aparticulate and hemodiluted .
