Diff-Quik-stained touch imprint of a lymph node involved by Langerhans cell histiocytosis.  Diff-Quik is a similar stain to Wright-Giemsa.  Both are performed on air-dried specimens, and the process of air drying exaggerated size differences between small and large cells.  Note the many large neoplastic cells with abundant pale cytoplasm and irregular reniform or grooved nuclei present in a background of mature red blood cells and a few eosinophils.
