Bone marrow smear of a patient with systemic mastocytosis showed prominent mast cells. Trephine showed dense infiltrates of mast cells. They were positive for CD117 and CD25. Pathogenic mutation was identified in KIT by myeloid NGS in the bone marrow sample. Serum tryptase was 200 ng/ml.
