At a higher magnification the varialbility in cell size and nuclear configuration is more apparent. The cells are small to medium in size and show round to cleave nuclear contours. Nucleoli are not noted. These cells were CD20⁺ on immunohistochemical staining consistent with a diagnosis of hairy cell leukemia variant.
